Through a mentorship program I learn about the industry and network with people in the company
As the event coordinator I organize events for over 300 members of women interested in computer science
Through this program I take classes to help develop my skills to succeed in technical interviews.
As a computer science student my priority is my grades and this has led to my 3.78 GPA. This achievement is also thanks to the scholarship I received from Avanade. This program has also provided me with a mentor and a network of other women with similar passions.
Through WiCS I am able to help empower women to pursue a career in technology and provide a safe place to learn and ask questions. I have been able to organize events with companies such as Prudential, ADP, and more. We also host an annual Hackathon that hosts over 300 people.
Throughout the years I have learned about the importance of balancing work and life. I love to use my free time to better myself through creative hobbies. These include reading, crocheting, embroidering, jewelry making, and anything else I can learn. These hobbies are a great outlet and I love making new things!
For a hackathon my friend and I worked on a chrome extension that allows users to bookmark parts on a Youtube video. These bookmarks are saved and when clicked users are able to go back to that exact spot.
A choose your own adventure game that is not complete. We learned about team building and all had separate tasks. I mostly worked on putting it all together using html and css.
