What has Jessica taught you?
She taught me the true meaning of friendship. What being a friend really is. Someone that is not only there during the good times but most importantly the hard ones. She is my go-to, my “I can tell her anything and know she’ll have my back,” she’s the one that is the happiest when I accomplish a goal and the one that’s there to cheer me up.
Taught me to cherish every moment with the people around me because you never know how much time you have with them left.
Whenever there was any sort of situation, it was okay to get mad or cry about it BUT ONLY for a little cause then we had to be a "strong independent woman" and laugh it off/get over it.
Never look back in any situation, just keep looking and moving forward.
She thought me how to be kind to others and be able to laugh at myself when times were difficult she thought me how to love people genuinely and to look at life through a lenses that made everything beautiful.
How did you first meet Jessica?
She was introduced to me through a friend I was new in town our 8th grade grade year she was one my first friends in EHT she was the sweetest person and we clicked instantly and I thought she was extremely funny she invited me to her lunch table and she never made me feel left our and would always include me in conversations.
When i first met jess, we were in spanish class in middle school. i remember her long hair and glasses from back then. she was a very outgoing girl and I was actually introduced to her by a close friend of mine. since that moment on, we just grew up together and became closer.

Our parents were neighbors before I was born. After that we basically grew up together. Although both of our families ended up moving to different houses we always kept in contact and we always celebrated holidays or big events together.
What was the last memory you had of Jessica?
The last memory I had of jess is when she stopped by my old job to visit me. which is cute, because it was something she did often. she would never buy anything but i would see her and she would have such a bright smile and wave at me. she would always wait until I'm done with a costumer to come over and talk to me. it was interesting to see how many topics we cover just from a 5-10 mins conversation. lol
My last memory of Jessica was when she came over to get her lashes done, and the entire time we were talking about our first year experiences in college and the friends that we had made. And when she was about to leave, I told her to text me to hang out whenever she’s free, which was two weeks before.
I went to her house on June 24th 2023. We were getting ready to go get froyo in Margate. She loved that place and she knew how much I love froyo so she wanted me to try it. We sang the whole way there, ate some amazing froyo, had great conversation and sang our way back home. I’ll never forget that night because I remember she used to tell me how much she loved my hugs and that night I held her tighter than usual for some reason and now that’s a memory I will forever cherish.
I would always see her at the mall and I ran into her in June of 2023 she gave me a hug and wished that everything was going well for me and that she wanted to go out with me sometime and she wished me the best in college.
Hanging out with other friends.
Before I could even invite her to my birthday party she had already called out of work. Although it was something so small it meant to much to me. She came to my birthday party and ofcourse forgot her purse. This gave me a chance to see her the day before she passed and we talked and laughed for a while before she had to go home.
Describe a shared adventure or experience you had together?
The one thing that I really loved about Jess was how she was able to set things aside to help out a friend. One time I was going through a hard time and felt very alone. Then I called Jessica out of nowhere at night and asked if she wanted to talk. I picked her up and she came out with her blanket and pajamas. We drove to McDonalds and she showed me that you can get both M&Ms as well as oreos in a McFlurry. We then drove down this road just talking. It was such a fun time I had with her and she listened to me and helped me out so much.
One of my favorite memories is this time where we just got done one of her quince practices and i was the last one left to get picked up. we sat down on her couch just chilling and scrolling through our instagram and snapchat and she came across this photoshop picture of Shrek. When i tell you it caught me off guard, IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD and we bursted out laughing and tbh i don't even think it was that funny, but i think it was because were SO tired that we found it 10x funny that day. the picture also had a phrase that we would say here and there and it would bring us back to that moment/memory. To this day i still have the picture of shrek on my favorites album on my phone.
I drove her to a basketball game once our senior year we could not stop singing die for you by the weekend in the car and we were not watching the game we were just catching up and it was so funny to the points where our stomachs were hurting.
The beach was our best memory, we had an amazing time after that grab tacos and had a chill night.
Jessica was someone who I felt like we hit milestones together. One of the biggest one was graduating highschool and we both wanted to celebrate it together. That experience meant so much to me and it was fun planning the party and talking about how far we have come. I could think of no better person to celebrate with.
What made her unique or stand out to you?
Thinking back now, its more what wasn't unique about her. she was smart, gorgeous, athletic, a good daughter, an amazing friend and she was beyond caring. she was generous and mad funny. her random thoughts would make you question her sometimes but in such a funny/good way. she was someone who love doing things which meant planning hang outs with family and friends and getting dressed up for them. Another amazing quality she would do, is put others before her. she was the definition of the perfect girl.
The way she was never judgmental and she always saw the best in everyone she came into contact with and because that is what I saw the first time I met her and that never changed.
Besides everything? my girl is beautiful inside and out. Mi Bonita is one of the sweetest most attentive people I’ve ever met. Her goofiness made life so much brighter. Just her entire energy is beautiful.
The honesty she would give to people and myself no matter what.
Her smile always stood out to me. It immediately pushes this positive energy towards you.
Jessica was someone who always put her needs before yours and someone who truly cared about people. During one of her most important days she helped me. She saw that I was in my head and she helped me through it. One time she even knew I was sick before I did.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Jessica I love you and I will love you forever and I wish we where never drifted apart during COVID I think about you all the time I look at the sunset sky and think of you and I went to the beach a month ago to watch the sunrise at 5:45 Ik you loved the sunset but I went to beach because you loved it and I hated it and you always thought I was crazy because I didn’t like it but that is where I feel closest to you so I’m planning on going to the beach all summer and if I told you this you would be shocked if you heard me say I was going to the beach I went to beach on my birthday and out of everyone who told me happy birthday I was waiting for your birthday response I looked forward to yours every year and it never came YOU ARE TURING 20 lol I wish we could celebrate together I will forever tell your story and talk about how much happiness you brought into my life I miss you my love … I always laugh when I see an ashy apple (inside joke) I love you angel I will carry you with me forever.❤️
Despite what happened, we will forever stay with the beautiful memories jess made with us. she'll always be here. anything and everything about her will be engraved in our hearts and in our minds forever. she WILL live on by us and through us. And I'm positive she is seeing each and every one of us. I'm sure she feels so loved and appreciated and would want us to remember not to be sad. we have to live for her.
I miss her a lot, but I carry the great memories I had with her every day with a positive outlook on life.
Just wishing everyone and everything is going good with her family. God bless always.
I am so thankful to have had someone like Jessica by my side since as long as I can remember. She had so much love and everyone could see it. She was truly one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met and I could never forget all that she has done for me
